The very first electric plow truck has been delivered to Veidekke AS in collaboration with Scania Norway this week. The new BEV Scania 25P is designed for all types of road maintenance. With a front-mounted plow and advanced hydraulics from JOAB, this plow truck is ready to meet the challenges of winter.
The plow truck is equipped with the JOAB EcoDrive LA21 hooklift, a standard hook with extremely low energy consumption that, in addition to its use on diesel trucks, is also well suited for electric trucks. We have also installed the electric hydraulic pump and control system that supplies both hook and snow plow with oil.
With the new electric plow truck, Veidekke AS and the Swedish Road Administration (Norway) will gather knowledge and experience of how such a vehicle works for winter entertainment.
