JOAB registered as a NATO supplier – the next step in strengthening defence and preparedness

JOAB has been assigned an NCAGE code and is now officially registered as a NATO supplier. This marks an important milestone that opens doors to international procurement opportunities and confirms JOAB’s capability to meet the highest standards of quality, innovation, and reliability.

As a leading Nordic manufacturer of truck body builder equipment, JOAB has extensive experience in contributing to public safety, security, and national preparedness. Becoming a registered NATO supplier is therefore a natural next step in the company’s development.

Being registered as a NATO supplier is proof of our ability to deliver solutions that meet the highest international standards, says Stefan Hartzén, CEO of JOAB.

For many years, JOAB has been trusted to deliver solutions to the Swedish Armed Forces through procurements from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). In 2021, the company received its largest order to date, comprising deliveries of a total of 200 hooklifts and 30 fixed platforms. Currently, JOAB is also delivering 100 hooklift equipment, with an option for an additional 100 units, to FMV.

In parallel, the Bridge Adapter Pallet (BAP) is entering the final stage of development. BAP is a newly developed bridge-laying platform designed to meet the demands for flexibility and efficiency in military logistics. It is a Swedish-made solution that combines innovation, durability, and intelligent design, optimised for Nordic conditions. Series deliveries are planned to begin in 2026.

These projects highlight JOAB’s long-standing commitment to developing innovative and reliable solutions for the defence sector. With the NCAGE code in place, the company can now build on this foundation internationally.

– We look forward to continuing to develop solutions that strengthen both Swedish and international preparedness, adds Stefan Hartzén.

What is an NCAGE code?
An NCAGE code (NATO Commercial and Government Entity Code) is a unique identification number used to register companies and organizations as suppliers within NATO’s procurement and logistics systems. The code is a prerequisite for participating in international defence and preparedness procurements and serves as a quality mark, confirming that a company meets stringent requirements for structure, capacity, and reliability.
