JOAB is a leader in the bodybuilding industry for trucks in the Nordics. With over 60 years of industry experience, we have built up a deep and comprehensive internal knowledge. Our specialist areas include the development, manufacture and sale of high-quality skiploaders, hooklifts, RCV, flatbeds with cranes and the market's smartest shifting system, Cameleont\u2122. In addition, JOAB is the exclusive distributor of HMF cranes in Sweden and Finland.<\/p>\n

We are proud to be quality and environmental certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. This reflects our commitment to offer high-quality products, technical expertise and first-class service to ensure the best long-term solutions and investments for our customers. We also actively strive to reduce our environmental impact. In our main production facility, we have now switched to completely fossil-free heating but also investes in solar cells for all assembly facilities, which we see as an important step towards a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n

Our product development focuses on the life cycle perspective. The recently launched skiploader and hooklift from the EcoDrive series have significantly reduced fuel consumption, reducing carbon dioxide emissions over the entire life cycle when running on fossil fuels. For electric operation, the range is significantly extended thanks to JOAB EcoDrive's reduced energy consumption. These are just a few examples of our commitment to a sustainable future in the transport industry, where sustainability and innovative technology have always been at the heart of our work.<\/p>\n

We value our collaboration and close relationships with our users, which has been key to building our strong brand. The most significant proof of our success is the trust we continuously receive from our customers and partners.<\/p>\n

Today we operate in several locations, including Gothenburg, Dals Rostock, Lessebo, Malm\u00f6, Jordbro, T\u00e4by, Blomsterm\u00e5la, \u00c5lem as well as in Nurmij\u00e4rvi and N\u00e4rpes in Finland. Since the start in 1963, JOAB has continuously expanded and increased its market share. Approximately 40% of our sales are exported, mainly to the Nordic countries, but also to Switzerland, Austria and the Baltic countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

JOAB's code of conduct are our guidelines on how we conduct our operations. At JOAB we want to create added value for our customers, suppliers and employees and at the same time contribute to sustainable environmental and societal development.<\/p>\n

We shall produce and deliver competitive premium products and services within hydraulically controlled truck superstructures.<\/p>\n

With loyalty towards our customers, employees, and partners, we shall meet requirements and expectations of customers and authorities by complying with and further developing our agreed working methods. Through innovation, creativity, and a solution-oriented approach, as well as continuous improvement work, we shall be an efficient, structured, and customer-oriented organization. Our strength lies in competent employees, clear processes, and shared responsibility.<\/p>\n

We strive to achieve sustainable development through responsible processes, material selections, and procurement, with a particular focus on steel, transportation, energy, waste, and chemicals. Together with investments in solar energy, this helps us reduce our impact on the environment and climate. We shall conduct our operations without causing harmful water or air pollution, harmful noise, or excessive water consumption. When planning expansions of our operations, we shall take animal welfare, harmful soil alteration, and biodiversity into account.<\/p>\n

We shall involve our suppliers and other partners in our quality and environmental efforts. Through active collaboration, we drive progress. Our improvement efforts shall be continuous throughout the organization to achieve enhanced environmental and quality performance.<\/p>\n

SUSTAINABILITY AT JOAB<\/h3>\n

JOAB knows that responsible sustainability efforts, where the company values both the environment and people, not only contribute to a more sustainable society and a safer workplace but also drive new business opportunities, technical innovations, improved work environments, and better economic conditions. JOAB's activities support the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The five goals where JOAB believes it has the greatest impact are Gender Equality<\/em>, Affordable and Clean Energy<\/em>, Sustainable industry, innovations and infrastructure, Climate action and<\/em>\u00a0Sustainable consumption and production.<\/em> JOAB works continuously to integrate these goals into our overall goals, focus areas and in the work with the business plan.<\/p>\n

HISTORY<\/h3>\n

The companys founder, Jan Olsson, is an active entrepreneur, with a business mind and a genuine interest in technology and societal development in general. In 1963, he started Motorfirma Jan Olsson without capital and higher education in his parents' garage in Hisingen. This car workshop was the starting point for the leading truck bodybuilder JOAB is in the Nordics today.<\/p>\n
